Enchanting Ladakh Journey

Day 1 – Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization

Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh and transfer to your hotel. As Leh is situated at a high altitude, the day is reserved for acclimatization. Take proper rest, stay hydrated, and avoid any strenuous activity. In the evening, you may take a short walk around Leh Market or simply relax at the hotel. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2 – Exploring Sham Valley

After breakfast, drive towards Sham Valley, one of the most scenic regions of Ladakh. Visit Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and most picturesque monasteries, often referred to as the “Moonland of Ladakh” due to its unique landscape. On your return journey via Alchi Road, stop at Alchi Monastery, renowned for its ancient murals and architecture. In the evening, visit Shanti Stupa to enjoy a mesmerizing view of Leh town, especially during sunset or night. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3 – Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

After breakfast, embark on a thrilling journey to Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass (5,359 meters), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views of rugged mountains and valleys along the way. Upon arrival, explore the unique cold desert landscape of Nubra. Visit Diskit Monastery, home to the giant Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Later, head to Hunder Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a camel ride on the rare double-humped Bactrian camels (optional). Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4 – Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok Route

After breakfast, travel along the scenic Shayok River route towards Pangong Lake. This journey offers mesmerizing views of mountains, rivers, and remote landscapes. Upon arrival at Pangong Tso (4,350 meters), spend time admiring the lake’s ever-changing shades of blue and the tranquil surroundings. Enjoy a peaceful evening by the lakeside, soaking in the natural beauty. Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

Day 5 – Pangong to Leh via Chang La | Monastery Visits

Wake up early to witness a stunning sunrise at Pangong Lake. After breakfast, begin your return journey to Leh via Chang La Pass. En route, stop at Karu for lunch and visit Hemis Monastery, the largest monastery in Ladakh. Continue to Thiksey Monastery, known for its resemblance to the Potala Palace, and Shey Palace, the former royal residence. You may also visit the famous Rancho School from the movie 3 Idiots. Arrive in Leh by evening and relax. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6 – Departure from Leh

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your onward journey. Your tour concludes with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s breathtaking landscapes, high mountain passes, and rich cultural heritage.
