Day 1 – Arrive Srinagar, Drive to Sonamarg (Camp Stay in Shitkadi)

Upon arrival in Srinagar, begin a picturesque drive to Sonamarg, famously known as the “Meadow of Gold.” Continue to Shitkadi, the starting point of the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek, where you’ll check into your campsite surrounded by majestic mountains and lush meadows. Spend the evening relaxing, enjoying the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere, and preparing for the exciting trekking adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Shitkadi to Nichnai via Shekdur (Camp Stay)

After breakfast, begin your trek through dense pine forests, charming meadows, and sparkling mountain streams. Pass through the beautiful Shekdur campsite before ascending gradually towards Nichnai, where breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys unfold. Arrive at the Nichnai campsite and unwind amidst the serene beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 3 – Nichnai to Vishansar Lake (Camp Stay)

Start the day with a climb over the scenic Nichnai Pass, offering magnificent panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and alpine landscapes. Descend through colorful meadows and glacial streams before reaching the stunning Vishansar Lake, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. Set up camp beside the lake and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.

Day 4 – Vishansar to Gadsar via Vishansar Lake & Gadsar Pass (Camp Stay)

Wake up to mesmerizing views of Vishansar Lake before trekking towards the spectacular Gadsar Pass, the highest point of the trek. The trail rewards you with breathtaking vistas of alpine lakes, wildflower-filled meadows, and towering Himalayan peaks. Descend to the scenic Gadsar campsite and spend the night under a blanket of stars.

Day 5 – Gadsar to Satsar (Camp Stay)

Today’s trek takes you across rugged mountain trails, picturesque valleys, and pristine alpine terrain on your way to the beautiful Satsar Lakes. Surrounded by lush grasslands and tranquil mountain scenery, Satsar offers one of the most peaceful camping experiences of the journey. Relax and soak in the untouched beauty of Kashmir’s high-altitude wilderness.

Day 6 – Satsar to Gangabal Lake (Camp Stay)

Continue trekking through rolling meadows and mountain ridges with magnificent views of the towering Mount Harmukh. Reach the sacred Gangabal Lake, one of Kashmir’s most beautiful alpine lakes, admired for its crystal-clear waters and dramatic surroundings. Spend your final night camping beside the lake, enjoying the serenity and unforgettable Himalayan landscapes.

Day 7 – Gangabal to Naranag, Then Drive to Srinagar

After breakfast, begin the final descent from Gangabal Lake towards Naranag, passing through scenic forests, mountain trails, and traditional Gujjar settlements. Upon reaching Naranag, meet your vehicle and drive back to Srinagar.
