Magical Ladakh Expedition

Day 1 – Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization

Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh and transfer to your hotel. As Leh is located at a high altitude, the day is kept free for acclimatization. Take complete rest, stay hydrated, and avoid exertion. In the evening, if you feel comfortable, you may explore the local Leh Market or take a short walk to experience the calm atmosphere and culture of Ladakh. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2 – Exploring Sham Valley

After breakfast, proceed to explore the cultural and historical highlights of Leh and nearby areas. Visit Alchi Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries known for its ancient frescoes and unique architecture. Continue to Leh Palace, which offers panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. Later, visit the peaceful Shanti Stupa, especially beautiful during sunset. Return to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3 – Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

After breakfast, embark on an adventurous drive to Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass (5,359 m), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views of rugged mountains and deep valleys along the way. On arrival, visit Diskit Monastery, home to the giant Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Later, head to Hunder to witness the unique cold desert landscape and enjoy a camel ride on double-humped Bactrian camels (optional). Spend the evening amidst the mesmerizing sand dunes. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4 – Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok Route | Return to Leh

After breakfast, drive along the scenic Shayok River route towards Pangong Lake, famous for its ever-changing shades of blue. Spend some time admiring the pristine beauty of the lake, located at an altitude of around 4,350 meters. Later, begin your return journey to Leh via Chang La Pass. En route, visit Hemis Monastery, the largest monastery in Ladakh, followed by Thiksey Monastery, known for its resemblance to the Potala Palace, and Shey Palace, the former royal residence. You may also visit the famous Rancho School from the movie 3 Idiots. Arrive in Leh by evening. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 5 – Departure from Leh

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your onward journey. Leave with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and peaceful surroundings.
