Day 1 – Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization

Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh and transfer to your hotel. As Leh is situated at a high altitude, the day is reserved for acclimatization. Take proper rest, stay hydrated, and avoid any physical exertion. In the evening, you may explore Leh Market or enjoy a short walk to experience the calm local surroundings. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2 – Exploring Sham Valley

After breakfast, proceed to explore the scenic Sham Valley, known for its unique landscapes and cultural heritage. Visit Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, surrounded by fascinating moon-like terrain. Enjoy the breathtaking views and peaceful atmosphere before returning to Leh in the evening. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3 – Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

After breakfast, drive towards Nubra Valley via the famous Khardung La Pass (5,359 meters), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The journey offers stunning views of rugged mountains and valleys. Upon arrival, explore the cold desert landscape and visit Diskit Monastery, home to the giant Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, head to Hunder to enjoy a camel ride on the rare double-humped Bactrian camels and explore the sand dunes. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4 – Excursion to Turtuk | Return to Nubra

After breakfast, travel towards Turtuk, one of the northernmost villages of India near the Indo-Pak border. Explore this beautiful village known for its unique Balti culture, traditional houses, and apricot orchards. Interact with the locals and experience their distinct lifestyle and traditions. After spending time in this picturesque setting, return to Nubra Valley by evening. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 5 – Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok Route

After breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake via the scenic Shayok River route. The drive offers mesmerizing views of mountains and river valleys. Upon arrival at Pangong Lake (4,350 meters), admire the crystal-clear waters and its ever-changing shades of blue. Spend a peaceful evening by the lakeside, soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

Day 6 – Pangong to Leh via Chang La | Monastery Visits

Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise at Pangong Lake. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Leh via Chang La Pass. En route, visit Hemis Monastery, the largest monastery in Ladakh, followed by Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. You may also visit the famous Rancho School from the movie 3 Idiots. Arrive in Leh by evening and relax. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 7 – Departure from Leh

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your onward journey. Your trip concludes with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s stunning landscapes, high mountain passes, and rich cultural heritage.
